Why choose LED as the first choice for industrial lighting?
LED lighting has swept through the traditional lighting market, and the same is true for various industrial fields. Extended service life, reduced energy consumption, low maintenance costs... According to Ministry of Energy estimates, by 2030, LED lighting will save 190 terawatt-hours (1.9 x 1011 kWh) per year, equivalent to $15 billion. Most importantly, the purchase price of lamps and lanterns is declining, and more and more equipment managers are considering upgrading the use of LED.
Here are seven reasons for using LEDs:
1. Energy efficiency
Compared with traditional incandescent lamp, fluorescent lamp and halogen lamp lighting, LED uses about 40-70% less electricity, thus saving a lot of energy costs. If the lighting application for a long time, the cost savings are more considerable.

The durability of the LED system helps to further reduce maintenance costs. Without filaments or glass enclosures, LED lamps are resistant to damage and can withstand vibration and other collisions to a large extent, which means they are completely suitable for industrial environments.
Traditional lighting usually has glass or quartz outside, while LEDs are mounted on circuit boards and connected to lead soldering (although lead soldering is also afraid of direct collision, but to a lesser extent than smartphones).
4. Instantaneous Opening Function
Many fluorescent lamps and high-voltage gas discharge lamps do not provide full brightness immediately, usually taking about three minutes to achieve maximum output. By contrast, the LED system can emit 100% brightness immediately without restarting. For industrial applications, power outages or early morning hours are critical.
5. Fast Cycle
The more the number of traditional light source switches, the shorter the service life. If you want to consider including intelligent control in buildings, then you need to choose LED lighting.
6. Foundation of Informatization
The core of the LED system is semiconductor devices, which not only emit light, but also do more. 7. Almost no infrared or ultraviolet radiation
In practice, less than 10% of the power used by incandescent lamps is converted to visible light, and most of the power is converted to infrared (IR) or radiant heat. Excessive heat and ultraviolet radiation (UV) can cause harm to people and materials, and may cause hazards in industrial environments such as hazardous chemicals and precision machinery.
The LED system emits almost no infrared or ultraviolet light. The rapid development of LED lighting technology has reduced the cost and improved the reliability of LED.
